Free route community

Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-26. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.

Requirements

  • Free Changelog account (sign in/up) — the submission form needs a profile for attribution/notification
  • Submit News takes: URL, title, and 'What's interesting about it?' (markdown)
  • Explicitly rejected: how-to/tutorials, commercial products/services (use Sponsorship), reader-hostile websites, podcast suggestions (use /request)
  • Developer-news audience — 'if your fellow devs will find it interesting, submit it'; submitting your own work is allowed and encouraged
  • Paid sponsorship is separate and substantial ($200–$3,000/wk depending on show)

Prepare before opening the form

  • A genuinely interesting dev-facing link — OSS release, technical writeup, dev tool of substance
  • A free account
  • A compelling 'what's interesting' pitch — they get a lot of submissions

Workflow

  1. Sign in/up at changelog.com
  2. Open changelog.com/news/submit
  3. Submit URL + title + 'what's interesting' (markdown supported)
  4. If published you're notified by email — no response means not picked
  5. For commercial promotion use the Sponsorship page instead ([email protected])

Watch for

  • Commercial product promotion in Submit News is explicitly rejected — pure product pitches will be declined; open-source/dev-interest angles only
  • The catalog's stored URL was the sponsor-pricing page — the free editorial route is /news/submit
  • High volume — no notification unless published
  • The Changelog network also runs podcasts; 'Request Episode' is a different form at /request

What counts as live

The submission is published on Changelog News (changelog.com/news) and you're emailed

Not verified

  • Editorial review time for news submissions
  • Whether Changelog++ membership affects submission consideration
