  4. If the tool is already listed, use 'Find your listing to claim' (/claim) and verify connection to its domain
  5. After acceptance the listing shows recorded views, visit clicks and referral sources in the account dashboard

Watch for

  • Very narrow niche — general SaaS/AI tools that are not about AI-search visibility will not fit
  • The submit page is account-gated; the actual form fields are behind sign-in and were not visible
  • Every record lists sources and qualifications — inflated claims likely get flagged
  • Separate /advertise and /pricing pages exist — paid placement is an upsell, not required for a basic listing

What counts as live

The tool appears in the citedindex.com index (search or its category page) with a price and 'Checked' date, and the account dashboard shows its view/click stats

Not verified

  • Review criteria and turnaround after account creation
  • Exact submission form fields behind sign-in
  • Whether rejected submissions get notified
