Conditional free route launch-board
Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-25. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.
What the free route requires
- Free 'Schedule free launch' exists, but the form itself warns 'the current review queue can significantly delay' your chosen launch date
- Paid option: +$19 skips the queue and features the product on the homepage for a week
- Login/join is required (Login and Join links in nav; the launch form sits inside an authenticated panel)
Requirements
- Daily launch board format — products are ranked #1, #2... per day with 'X today' counters
- Launch form fields: Product URL, short description (1 paragraph max), launch date, and checkboxes: 'I am the maker' and 'I want to share the story behind my product'
- Maker identity is asserted via checkbox — do not submit products you do not own
Prepare before opening the form
- Account (Join link) — email registration
- Product URL and a one-paragraph description
- Preferred launch date (subject to queue delay)
- Product story if opting into 'share the story behind my product'
Workflow
- Create an account via https://ctrlalt.cc/join
- Open the 'Launch ✺ new product' panel on the homepage
- Enter Product URL, the one-paragraph description, and pick a launch date
- Tick 'I am the maker' (and optionally 'I want to share the story behind my product')
- Either click 'Schedule free launch' or add the $19 'Skip queue & feature on homepage for a week' option
- Site confirms 'We'll email you soon' — wait for the confirmation email
Watch for
- Free launches are queued and 'the current review queue can significantly delay' the launch date — do not plan around a specific day on the free tier
- The $19 skip-queue option both jumps the queue AND buys a 1-week homepage feature — it is the primary upsell
- Daily board format means visibility decays fast after your launch day
- One-paragraph description limit — keep copy tight
- Community has a streaks mechanic ('make it to 66 days for a little surprise') rewarding daily engagement
What counts as live
The product appears on the homepage daily board as a ranked entry (ctrlalt.cc/product/<slug>) on its launch date
Not verified
- Current queue length / typical free-launch delay
- Whether the product page link is dofollow (catalog note says follow; unconfirmed)
- Whether non-makers can submit ('I am the maker' checkbox vs the story option)
