Future of SaaS (SaaS Alliance)
Conditional free route community
Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-26. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.
What the free route requires
- No product listing exists — the free route is contributing an article (or podcast guesting, event speaking, report quotes), and submissions are editorially reviewed
- Contributions explicitly cannot promote your product — 'For that sort of stuff, we have sponsorship opportunities'; company exposure is limited to your bio
- Much of the site's content is members-only, so even a published piece may sit behind the membership wall for some readers
Requirements
- Pitch the subject BEFORE writing — 'drop us a line and let us know what you want to write about'
- Articles ≥800 words on SaaS topics (marketing, GTM, metrics, onboarding, customer success, SaaS+AI, funding)
- Royalty-free images only; a contributor profile picture; bio ≤200 characters
- Previously published pieces are acceptable — they support custom canonical links
Prepare before opening the form
- A topic pitch aligned to their popular topics list
- Contributor headshot and ≤200-char bio
- The 800+ word article (if past pitching stage) with properly cited links
- Author contact route: message Anthony or Sophie on Slack or by email ([email protected])
Workflow
- Email [email protected] (or Sophie) with the proposed article subject
- On approval, write the piece to their rules (≥800 words, royalty-free images, cited links, no product promo)
- Send the article plus profile pic and bio by email/Slack
- Alternative free routes: podcast guest ([email protected]), event speaking (Typeform on the page), report contribution (headshot + 200-word bio + a quote)
Watch for
- This is a thought-leadership play, not a launch listing — the payoff is a byline and bio mention, not a product page
- Blatant product promotion gets redirected to paid sponsorship
- Syndication policy: they can reuse your content in full or in part across social/blogs/newsletters and cross-post to Medium/LinkedIn
- Canonical-link support means you can republish existing posts — cheaper than writing fresh
- Site reports ~20k visitors/year — modest reach for the effort
What counts as live
The contributed article is published on futureofsaas.io under the author's contributor profile with their bio
Not verified
- Editorial response rate and turnaround on subject pitches
- Whether published articles are public or members-only
- Whether bio links are dofollow
