What the free route requires

Requirements

Prepare before opening the form

  • Startup name, URL, category (SaaS, AI, Marketing, Productivity, DevTools, Fintech, etc.) and description
  • Logo (cards show a logo tile)
  • Ability to add an HTML badge to your site footer if you want the free dofollow link
  • Decide plan: Starter $0 / Featured $10 per week (8 spots, 7 days homepage) / Premium $7 one-time (permanent dofollow, no badge, fast approval)

Workflow

  1. Create an account at /auth?mode=signup (or sign in with Google)
  2. Open /submit (optionally /submit?plan=featured or /submit?plan=premium)
  3. Enter startup details and choose the plan
  4. For Starter+dofollow: add the badge to your site so it verifies
  5. Submit; Starter claims processing within 24 hours

Watch for

  • Free tier link is nofollow unless the badge stays embedded — treat badge as a permanent obligation if you want dofollow
  • Featured is billed weekly ($10/week, cancel anytime) — it is not a one-time charge
  • Featured placement limited to 8 spots
  • Footer carries dozens of reciprocal directory badges — classic badge-exchange directory network; expect the free tier to exist mainly for the badge link

A startup detail page at /startups/<slug> linked from the directory with name, description, category and 'Visit Website' link

Not verified

  • Whether free listings are manually reviewed or auto-approved
  • Exact badge embed code location (behind the account wall)
  • Refund/removal policy
