MarketingDB
Conditional free route directory
Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-25. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.
What the free route requires
- Free listing requires keeping the MarketingDB badge live — the dofollow backlink exists 'while your badge stays live' (or with Premium)
- Sign in required to see drafts, products in review, and live listings
Requirements
- SaaS and startup-tool products across ~23 categories
- Account/sign-in required for submission
- Listings are curated — 'approved listing' language implies a review step
Prepare before opening the form
- Product name, tagline, category (SaaS, Tool/Utility, Marketing, AI & ML, Productivity, Design, Mobile App, Chrome Extension, E-commerce, Development, etc.), tags, and pricing label (Free/Freemium/Premium/Demo/Free trial)
- Badge embed for the dofollow benefit on the free route
- Optional 'Done for you' packages (Starter 30+ / Pro 60+ / Premium 100+ directories) — a paid submission service, not needed for a self listing
Workflow
- Sign in, then open Submit
- Fill the listing form and submit for review
- Track drafts/in-review/live status from the signed-in 'Your listings' area
- Keep the badge live to retain the dofollow backlink
Watch for
- Badge is an ongoing condition — removing it removes the dofollow
- Weekly launch framing (Week 36–42 board tabs) plus permanent indexed listing — dual mechanic
- Heavy upsell surface: $39/mo partner ad slots and the done-for-you directory submission packages
- Every listing gets a plain-markdown twin at URL + .md — useful for verification by agents
What counts as live
A /project/<slug> page resolves (and /project/<slug>.md returns the markdown twin), and the product shows in its category listing
Not verified
- Free vs Premium plan specifics and Premium pricing (submit page did not render publicly)
- Review timeline
- Whether the free listing without badge is nofollow or unpublished
