Requirements
- Must upload a real document you own the copyright to (pdf, txt, doc, ppt, xls, docx, etc.; max 100MB) — governed by the Scribd Uploader Agreement
- Title and description are required fields
- Uploading is only supported on the website, not the Scribd app
- Requires a Scribd account (sign-up at scribd.com/oauth/signup); the batch's /register URL returned HTTP 410 — use the upload flow instead
Prepare before opening the form
- A genuinely useful document (deck, whitepaper, guide) — thinly-veiled ads risk rejection under the Uploader Agreement
- Title and description copy optimized for discovery (Scribd indexes uploads for search)

Workflow
- Create a free Scribd account
- Go to https://www.scribd.com/upload-document (or click Upload in the header)
- Select the document file, fill in required Title and Description
- Leave 'Make this document private' unchecked to publish publicly; adjust advanced settings
- Click Done; use the provided view link / share link as the live artifact
Watch for
- The batch-listed /register endpoint returned 410 — go through /upload-document which handles account creation
- Public documents are indexed by search engines, but embedded links inside the doc are the SEO asset, not a profile backlink
- Content must be owned/licensed — DMCA enforcement is active
- Uploading your own original content can also unlock download access for the uploader (upload-benefit exchange)
What counts as live
The uploaded document has a public scribd.com/document/<id>/<slug> page viewable without login
Not verified
- Whether links inside uploaded documents are followed/indexed for link equity
- Moderation review timing or rejection rate for promotional docs
