Smol Launch

Conditional free route launch-board

Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-25. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.

What the free route requires

  • Free launches require verifying the Smol Launch badge on your site ('Free Verified')
  • Only 50 verified free slots per week, shared platform-wide — the pricing page showed 'Next free week: Nov 2, 250 ahead of you'
  • Free tier covers a product's FIRST launch only; relaunches of the same product require a paid tier

Requirements

  • Account/signup required (submission CTAs route to /signup; submit dashboard at /dashboard/products/new)
  • A site where the Smol Launch badge can be embedded (free path)
  • Every launch, free or paid, competes in the same weekly (Mon–Sun) public-vote ranking

Prepare before opening the form

  • Product name, tagline (≤60 chars for newsletter features), description, logo, categories, URL
  • Badge HTML ready to embed for free verification
  • Launch-week timing decision — launches run Monday 9:00 AM PDT to Sunday

Workflow

  1. Sign up at smollaunch.com/signup
  2. Submit the product via the dashboard (/dashboard/products/new)
  3. Choose Free Verified, Premium ($19/launch) or Premium+ ($39/launch)
  4. Free: embed badge → verification → assigned to the next open launch week
  5. Collect votes Monday–Sunday; listing becomes permanent on the DR 74 domain after the week ends

Watch for

  • Free queue can stretch weeks out — shared 50-slot weekly pool, not a per-maker allowance
  • Premium+ adds a one-week Featured Spot + newsletter feature; Maker Pass ($99/yr) covers unlimited Premium launches
  • 'Launch Everywhere' ($99–$199) is a separate done-for-you directory-submission add-on, easy to accidentally bundle
  • Featured Spot ($19/wk) is an ad — marked sponsored and excluded from ranking
  • Site is markdown-native — every page has a .md twin

What counts as live

A public product page at smollaunch.com/products/<slug> plus appearance in that week's launch board (e.g. /launches/2026-week-NN).

Not verified

  • Exact submit-form fields behind signup
  • How badge verification is implemented (crawler vs manual check)
