Conditional free route review
Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-25. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.
What the free route requires
- Consumer email providers are not supported — you must register with a business-domain email (gmail.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com etc. are rejected)
Requirements
- Vendor listing for a real software product or software service
- Form requires: company head office, number of employees (banded: Freelancer to 10,000+), number of customers (banded: 1-25 to 500+), and a software/service category
- Account setup is completed via an emailed link after the initial form
Prepare before opening the form
- A work email on the company domain
- Company head-office location, employee band, customer-count band
- Correct product category from their ~1,500-category taxonomy
- Product collateral for the full profile (features, pricing, screenshots) once portal access arrives
Workflow
- Open https://www.softwaresuggest.com/vendors
- Fill 'List Your Product — It's Free': company head office, employee count, customer count, category, business email
- Submit; an email with a link completes account setup
- Log into the vendor portal and complete the product profile for listing
- Listing goes live after their review/onboarding process
Watch for
- Business-email gate is enforced at the form level — consumer mailboxes fail immediately
- The vendor page heavily promotes paid 'Value Added Services' (PPC, Marketing Qualified Leads, Premium Listing, branded content, sponsorships) and pushes 'Request a Call Back' — expect sales outreach after listing
- Separate User Login vs Vendor Login — use the vendor path
What counts as live
The product appears in SoftwareSuggest's category listings with a profile page users can review and compare.
Not verified
- Review/approval latency for new vendor listings
- Whether outbound vendor links are dofollow
- Whether any geography restrictions apply
