What the free route requires

Free listing, but a link back to your Startup Project listing from your own website is REQUIRED to maintain the listing ('I understand that a link back to my listing from my website is required to maintain the listing')

Reciprocal link requirement — a 'Featured on The Startup Project' badge/backlink must sit on your site or the listing is removed
Submission does not guarantee publication; review takes a few business days
Form fields: founder name, email, company name, website, tagline, industry (SaaS/AI-ML/dev tools/etc.), stage (pre-launch→scaling), monthly revenue range, team size, 'What does your startup do?', traction & milestones
You consent to the listing terms in the checkbox

Complete the form (~2 minutes per their copy) and agree to the backlink term
Wait for the review email (a few business days)
Once live, add the 'Featured on The Startup Project' badge linking back to your listing page in /startups/

This is a link-exchange arrangement — the free listing is contingent on keeping a followed backlink on YOUR site; dropping it forfeits the listing
The badge also serves their SEO: you're endorsing their directory
Revenue data is self-reported in ranges, not verified
Site is a founder-resources content site (learning paths, templates); the directory is one feature

The startup has a dedicated profile page under https://startupproject.org/startups/ indexed with structured data and linking to your site
