Requirements
- Marketplace for educational resources — sellers must upload original teaching materials; a SaaS product cannot be listed as a product
- Seller path requires first a free Buyer account, then a paid seller tier: Basic Seller is a one-time non-refundable $29 USD; Premium is $59.95 USD/year
- TPT requires the first uploaded resource be free ('Primary Free' resource)
- Seller payout: Basic earns 55% with $0.30/resource fee; Premium earns 80% with $0.15 fee under $3 orders
Prepare before opening the form
- An educational resource relevant to the product (e.g. a printable, lesson, or template) that can be offered free as the Primary Free resource
- Free Buyer account first (name, email, password)
- $29 for the Basic Seller upgrade (or $59.95/yr Premium)
- Store name, profile blurb, logo; Hyperwallet payout setup if selling
Workflow
- Create a free Buyer account via the Sign Up button on teacherspayteachers.com
- From the logged-in account, open the Basic Seller upgrade page and click 'Join Now'
- Pay the $29 fee via PayPal ('Continue to payment')
- Set up the store profile (store name, logo, description with website reference)
- Upload the required Primary Free resource first, then additional resources
Watch for
- Not a SaaS directory — only viable if the product can produce a genuinely educational resource; treat as marketing channel, not a listing
- The $29 Basic fee is non-refundable and does NOT credit toward a later Premium upgrade
- First resource MUST be free — plan the Primary Free asset before paying
- teacherspayteachers.com/Signup returned 403 to automated fetch — use a real browser
What counts as live
A public TPT store page (teacherspayteachers.com/Store/<store-name>) exists with at least the free resource published
Not verified
- Whether store profiles expose an external website link (and its follow status)
- Whether non-teacher brand accounts are tolerated
- Review moderation process for uploaded resources
