What the free route requires
- Free listing requires placing an HTML verification badge on your site's homepage (<a href="https://uno.directory">Listed on uno directory</a>) and passing their automated verify check
- An account (email or Google sign-in) is required for either route
Requirements
- Account sign-in required before the submission form loads (/submit redirects to /api/auth/signin)
- Tool must be functional and legitimate; no adult content, scams, IP violations, malware, or duplicate submissions
- Accurate info and working URLs; descriptions should be original and non-spammy
- Free route: badge must be visible on the homepage at verification time
Prepare before opening the form
- Tool name and website URL
- Tagline plus a long description — 600-800 words recommended

- For the free route: ability to edit the product homepage to add their badge HTML
Workflow
- Create an account or sign in at /auth/signup or /api/auth/signin (email or Google)
- Open /submit and choose Free or Paid ($10 one-time) listing
- Fill the form: name, URL, tagline, description, category/subcategory, tags, featured image
- Free route: paste the badge code on the homepage, then click verify in the form
- Submit — review is described as instant/automatic; paid listings activate after the $10 payment, free listings after backlink verification
Watch for
- /submit shows only a sign-in wall until authenticated
- Free listing is gated on a followed backlink badge — treat as conditional, not fully free
- Site cross-promotes a Premium Launcher subscription covering partner platforms (Aura++, EarlyHunt, IndieHunt, MakerHunt, SideHunt) — ignore the upsell
- Badge presumably must remain on the homepage; removing it may risk the listing
What counts as live
The tool appears on a public listing page under uno.directory/listings/... and is reachable from its category listing
Not verified
- Whether the 'instant' automated review ever rejects listings manually afterward
- Whether the badge can be removed post-approval without delisting
- Actual DR value of the listing link (dofollow vs tracked redirect)
