Conditional free route other
Researched from public pages — no submission was run · sources read 2026-09-25. Rules change — recheck the platform's own pages before submitting.
What the free route requires
- Free guest posts only from subject-matter experts writing under their own name — freelance/ghostwritten content is explicitly not wanted
- Editorial assessment applies; articles that don't meet requirements are steered to paid options
Requirements
- Audience fit: small business owners, new/aspiring entrepreneurs, recent grads, tech/education/social-media/marketing professionals; global focus preferred (US, Singapore, UK, India)
- 600-800 words preferred; up to 2,000 if excellent
- Largely non self-promotional; product mentions only when directly relevant
- Byline author must have relevant background/expertise; include full bio, real profile photo (no avatars) and a LinkedIn link
- One single non-commercial link allowed in the article, subject to review; no gambling/porn/dating etc.
Prepare before opening the form
- A 600-800 word draft on an entrepreneurship/business topic with genuine insight
- Author bio, headshot photo, LinkedIn profile URL
- One relevant non-commercial link to include
Workflow
- Read the guidelines at /contact/guidelines-for-guest-post-submissions/
- Email the submission (contact page / [email protected]) with draft, bio, photo and LinkedIn link
- Editorial team assesses against the criteria
- If accepted, the post is published under the Contributor byline; they may edit for brevity/style
Watch for
- Site adds its own affiliate and PAID links inside guest posts to offset costs — use the sponsored-post option if you want a clean article
- No freelance writers, content mills or ghostwriters — the named author must be the real expert
- Submissions failing the guidelines are routed to 'paid post options' (email for media kit)
- They reserve the right to remove posts found to contravene guidelines later
What counts as live
A published article on youngupstarts.com carrying the contributor's byline/bio
Not verified
- Exact submission email vs contact-form preference
- Sponsored post pricing (media kit by email)
- Whether the allowed link is dofollow
- Typical review turnaround
