Funding directory

Application strategy

Current priorities, preference logic, the action calendar, and the questions to answer before accepting any intensive program.

Operating principle: apply broadly when the expected value comes from funding, brand, mentorship, network, community, customers, or useful credits. Preferring to work full-time only after funding affects whether to accept an offer—not whether an application is worth submitting. Directory status: the Master Opportunity Directory (/funding) contains 184 specific opportunities, with one row per program rather than one row per organization. The long tail remains searchable even when an item is closed, niche, stale, unresolved, or only useful later.

What to do first

Track A — job-compatible structure, mentorship, and community

These are useful even without cash because they do not require resigning:

  1. GSF Founders Academy — strongest recurring structure-to-cost ratio.
  2. Founder Institute Hyderabad — stronger forcing function, but much heavier logistics and time cost.
  3. Z Fellows — compact brand/network value.
  4. Antler India Before Day Zero — community and exploration.
  5. ODF — one intensive week plus a long-term founder network.
  6. SeedToScale — education and relationships, not hard accountability.
  7. Antler India Co-founder Club — only when actively willing to test working relationships.
  8. LAUNCH Founder University / Startup Tuneup — useful when a relevant cohort is open and a product is launched.
  9. Techstars Founder Catalyst — structurally attractive if an India/open-global cohort becomes available.
  10. Google Startup School / Cloud Academy / Sales Academy — equity-free learning routes at different product stages.

Track B — full-time becomes attractive after funding is committed

These match the preference most cleanly when the final written offer is satisfactory:

Track C — apply for brand even when commitment fit is imperfect

Application value and acceptance value are different.

  • SPC Membership Residency: exceptional community and brand; weaker employment fit, but still a valid outcome to evaluate later.
  • Entrepreneur First: strong brand, individual selection, and cofounder formation; the stipend does not replace current income, but the application is worthwhile.
  • Greylock Edge: exceptional brand and design-partner access; capital is not universal, so insist on clarity before full-time participation.
  • Sequoia Arc: exceptional brand; current offer is company-specific and intake information must be rechecked.
  • Neo Residency: strong funded brand program for a future intake after stronger outlier evidence.
  • Betaworks Camp: theme-specific; the 2026 agent program was relevant even though the deadline passed.
  • HF0: strong brand, but the repeat-founder/high-momentum profile makes it a low-priority application today.
  • Founders Inc, ODF, Z Fellows, Techstars Catalyst, Character Foundations: potentially useful brand and peer access without needing them to be the core company-building mechanism.

Track D — conditional or self-funded full-time programs

These are not automatically rejected. Apply when the brand, people, geography, or optionality justify the application, then decide after seeing the actual offer.

  • Antler Korea: personal stipend before the main investment committee decision.
  • Antler India’s last AI Residency: small expense grant; main investment decided during the residency.
  • Antler Singapore, Vietnam, MENAP, US, UK, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, Continental Europe and Nordics: strong regional platforms, but investment commonly follows a full-time residency or investment committee.
  • PeerCheque Origins: structured validation, but no upfront capital.
  • LocalHostHQ Labs: residential builder environment with selective grants/investment.
  • Network School residential membership: community/residential value, but not funding unless paired with a fellowship.
  • Startup Wise Guys Founders Club, Alchemist, PedalStart and Soma Fellows: terms or funding timing require clarification before treating them as runway.

Track E — free credits, grants, discounts, and technical programs

Apply based on expected actual usage, not nominal headline value.

Most relevant to CodeVetter / agent infrastructure

  1. Codex Open Source Fund — up to approximately $25K in API credits.
  2. Codex for Open Source — six months of ChatGPT Pro/Codex access for qualifying maintainers.
  3. Claude for Open Source — strong later target after meaningful external adoption.
  4. NVIDIA Inception — brand and ecosystem access; no guaranteed fixed compute amount.
  5. Neon Open Source Program — useful if Neon is already the correct database.
  6. Tinybird Open Source Program — useful for an adopted analytics/observability project.
  7. Google Cloud Start — modest $2K pre-funded tier after a coherent MVP/company exists.
  8. Google Cloud AI/Scale tier — up to $350K after institutional funding.
  9. Neon Startup Program — potentially large partner bundle after incorporation and real workload.
  10. Intercom for Startups — useful only after enough customers exist to need Intercom.

Relevant only to specific future products

  • Deepgram, ElevenLabs and Sarvam — voice and local-language products.
  • Runware — image-heavy products.
  • Modular Community Grants — Mojo/MAX ecosystem projects.
  • AMD AI Developer and Nebius Builders — small experimental infrastructure benefits.
  • Regolo — EU-hosted model access and data-residency use cases.

Questions before accepting any intensive program

  • Is admission the same event as investment approval?
  • When is cash legally committed and when is it wired?
  • Is support company investment, a personal stipend, reimbursement, housing, meals, travel, or credits?
  • Can company funds legally and responsibly pay a founder salary?
  • What are the equity, SAFE, MFN, discount, program-fee, pro-rata and follow-on rights?
  • What hours and physical presence are mandatory?
  • What visa or work authorization is required, and is sponsorship offered?
  • What expenses remain self-funded?
  • Can participation end without investment?
  • Can the program invest into an Indian entity, or is another jurisdiction required? Applications are useful when they create optionality, signal, relationships, capital, credits or better judgment. They become procrastination when they replace customer evidence and distribution.
